Physicochemical properties in Pharmaceutical Profiling
Dr. Wenju Wu, Executive Director, Pharmaron
The presentation will have comprehensive introduction the physicochemical properties of molecular linking to its pharmaceutical behavior. The pharmaceutical profiling of clinical candidate will provide very critical information for formulation development, biopharmaceutical prediction etc. The cases were described the impact of solubility and stability on pharmaceutical profiling.
Overview of Analytical Development in Pharmaceutical
Liu Fang, Senior Director, WuXi AppTec
Analytical development in pharmaceutics includes method development and validation, specification and release testing of API and drug products, and reference standard characterization and qualification, as well as stability study and documentation for IND/NDA filing etc. The presentation will map up the analytical development activities in drug discovery and development with case studies.
Electrospray Ionization: Wrong-Way-Round or Right-Way-Round?
Shaolian Zhou, Head of Analytics, Novartis
Electrospray ionization is one of the most widely used approaches in mass spectrometry that convert molecules including large bio-molecules from solution into gas phase. However, the question remains as how the observed gas phase spectra correlate with the solution chemistry. For example, whether a charge state in ES MS reflects the ionization for a protein in the condense phase. In this presentation, we will discuss the chemical changes in ES processes as well as how these changes may affect the ionization.
